Taylor Swift Seen Cheering on Travis Kelce at Chiefs-Chargers Game

Taylor Swift celebrated her 36th birthday yesterday in private but is spending her Sunday cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. As her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his team play their afternoon home game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the singer was filmed in a suite watching. She had on a gradient gold and red sweater with her signature red lip.

Swift has a history of flying under the radar at Kelce’s home games. Last week, the Chiefs played the Houston Texans. The star arrived undetected and made a very rare appearance on the game’s broadcast. Fans in the stadium later spotted her with Selena Gomez and Lena Dunham in a suite.

The star has intentionally avoided being photographed arriving at Arrowhead Stadium as she was in past seasons. A source told Us Weekly in October that Swift decided to stay more out of sight, as the attention she was drawing had become “too excessive.”

Earlier this month, Chiefs president Mark Donovan spoke on the Up & Adams podcast about the reason he avoids showing Swift on the Chiefs’ Jumbotron.

It stemmed from an agreement he made with Kelce: “My job early on in this was—and I told Travis this—we’re going to treat you and your relationship with the same respect that we treat any other player in the country’s relationship,” he said. “It’s a relationship. Like, we’re not going to monetize it. We’re not going to go out there and go crazy.”

In December 2023, Swift told Time that she never sought the spotlight at Kelce’s games, even if she inevitably attracted it due to her A-list status. “I’m just there to support Travis,” she said. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much.”

She added that even she isn’t always aware when she’s being filmed: “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
