Selena Gomez Wears Carolina Herrera at ‘Marty, Life Is Short’ Premiere

Selena Gomez opted for subdued sartorial elegance in her Carolina Herrera look for the “Marty, Life Is Short” premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

The black dress, which hails from the label’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, was crafted with a streamlined silhouette and statement short sleeves. A square neckline framed Gomez’s face, while the allover bead work of the midi dress accentuated its refined, elegant quality.

Along with the dress, Gomez augmented the black color scheme with a pair of black Erozee pumps courtesy of Christian Louboutin. Gomez also accessorized her look with jewelry pieces by Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, including the diamond feather earrings and an antique-style diamond ring.

For glam, the “Only Murders in the Building” Emmy-nominated actress turned to hairstylist Ashley Ruiz, who coiffed Gomez’s hair into a slicked-back tight bun. Makeup artist Jenna Nicole gave Gomez’s visage a lined eye, bold brows and a soft red lip for an added pop of color.

Her nails were also painted red, done by Tom Bachik. Erin Walsh, who curated Anne Hathaway’s “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and “Mother Mary” press tour wardrobes, styled Gomez’s look.

Carolina Herrera’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection made its runway debut in September 2025. Under the creative direction of couturier Wes Gordon, the collection included florals, color and drama aplenty.

“There were matador jackets sparkling with black jet beads, fan-shaped handbags, and chic black capes courtesy of local heritage brand Casa Seseña. But the stars of the show were the floral motifs,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“Gordon homed in on three flowers with special significance: the rose, in honor of Madrid’s Rosaleda garden; the carnation, traditionally worn during the festival of San Isidro, the patron saint of the city, and violets, in a nod to the violet-flavored candies that were gifted to guests.”

“Marty, Life Is Short” is a documentary that chronicles the life of actor Martin Short, exploring his career from stage, screen and more. The film hits Netflix Tuesday.
