Broadway sensation Julie Benko (Funny Girl) stars in the new music video for “I’ll Be Here” – the first track from the new musical The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul, written by Christie Baugher and available now on all digital and streaming platforms courtesy of Brainstorm Records.
The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul is a two-actor chamber musical that dramatises the tumultuous marriage of Jazz Age literary legends Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
In the musical, two brilliant artists struggle with addiction, mental illness, professional jealousy and secret ambitions. Featuring book, music and lyrics by Baugher, the musical is part memory play, part gin-soaked vaudeville – dreamlike and hypnotic, witty and heartbreaking – a devastating love story that spans decades and continents.
The video, which features exclusive studio footage, is produced by Frank Galgano and Steven Johnston. Benko is joined by a 12-piece orchestra with an arrangement by Galgano and Matt Castle.
The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul is set to have an industry presentation in Spring 2026, followed by a commercial Off-Broadway production.
The show will be directed and choreographed by Danny Mefford (Broadway’s Kimberly Akimbo, Fun Home, Dear Evan Hansen, and Off-Broadway productions of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee andBigfoot!) and produced by Brainstorm Live Entertainment.
A preview production of The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul was staged in the fall of 2024 at the Irish Classical Theatre Company in Buffalo, directed and choreographed by Danny Mefford and starring Shannon O’Boyle and Jewell Wilson Bridges.
