New Year’s Eve celebrations, watercolor painting, live music: Georgetown events in late December and January

Looking for things to do in Georgetown? Here are eight events in late December and January, including free yoga, candlelight concerts and more.

American Revolution Experience traveling exhibit

The American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution have collaborated to bring an innovative pop up focusing on local and national history to the Williamson Museum and the Georgetown Public Library. The exhibit will feature panels about the American Revolution and the history of Georgetown with primary accounts, storytelling and illustrations.

A Night of Yin, Sound and Reflection

Yogis in Georgetown can visit Flow Yoga for a free community event to focus on grounding, intention and gratitude. Participants can reflect through a guided journaling exercise and bring natural materials to create a group mandala. The event will conclude with a mediation and sound bath.

Cinema Sillies

The Georgetown Public Library will host a movie screening of “The Bad Guys 2” on Dec. 30. The 2025 family comedy is rated PG and follows the crew of animals from the 2022 movie “The Bad Guys.”

Leander Grand Gala: New Year’s Eve Ball

The Leander Chamber of Commerce will host a semi-formal New Year’s Eve celebration at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center. The Midnight in Manhattan-themed event will include a performance by LC Rocks, food and a champagne toast at 11 p.m.

Bingo Bash 2026

The Rodeo Austin Calf Scramble Committee will host the event to raise money for the 2026 Ultimate Scramble Championship. The event will feature a happy hour with an open bar, food, and a silent auction with apparel, jewelry, gift baskets, coolers and more.

Sunday with Sinatra

Fans of Frank Sinatra can gather at Southwestern University for a performance featuring tribute tunes from Ken Kruse.

Watercolor Still Life with Susan Stone

The Flower Bells owner will host a watercolor event at her flower and antique shop in downtown. The two-hour event will allow attendees to paint and mingle. Stone also hosts various flower arranging, terrarium and wreath-making classes.

Candlelight: Featuring Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ and more

Music lovers can gather for a candlelight concert at Southwestern University, featuring music from Antonio Vivaldi. Attendees must be at least eight years of age.
