According to the latest report, Mark Ruffalo will not be a part of the Avengers: Doomsday squad. Scooper James Mack stated on X that “something very terrible” happens to Bruce Banner in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
His return to the character was speculated about for a long, long time before fans finally got the confirmation that Ruffalo will indeed be in Spider-Man 4. Unfortunately, this apparently means that we won’t get to see him reunite with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans in Avengers: Doomsday.
Mack added that whatever “terrible” event takes place in Spider-Man 4 will keep Bruce “away from humans,” leading to his absence in the fifth Avengers film.
