The Celebrity Apprentice fans issued the same complaint as they “switched off” minutes into the special episode.
The first of two celebrity Christmas specials aired on Monday (December 29) in aid of BBC Children in Need.
They saw 12 famous faces travel to Lapland to create Christmas biscuits, jingles and adverts. At the start of the episode, Lord Sugar split the celebrity candidates into two groups, before sending them to the official home of Santa.
The first group was made up of Tom Skinner, Matt Morsia, Shazia Mirza, Angela Scanlon, Sarah Hadland and project manager JB Gill. Meanwhile, the second group featured Charlie Hedges, AJ Odudu, Jake Wood, Kadeena Cox, Eddie Kadi and project manager Rob Rinder.

Under the watchful eye of Baroness Karren Brady and Mike Soutar, the groups had to develop their own gingerbread biscuits, as well as develop marketing for their product by creating an advert and a jingle.
Both teams were also going to face the dreaded task of pitching to retailers to help secure the all-important sales.
However, BBC viewers took to social media just minutes into the episode to share their frustration as they didn’t recognise many of the celebrities.
“Could they not find any celebs? Were they not paying? Woeful,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), with another adding: “Only 10 minutes in, but it’s a safe bet this won’t reach the heights of Celebrity Traitors.”

A third said: “I am really struggling to recognise any of the ‘celebrities’ on #CelebrityApprentice,” with another similarly sharing: “Lord Sugar asking what everyone is thinking. When did Tom become a celebrity?!”
It didn’t take long for others to share their complaints about the episode, with another person writing: “This is stressing me out they are so bad at it. I’m off.”
Meanwhile, other fans shared their positive reactions. “The casting for this is fantastic. Angela Scanlon is hilarious,” one person wrote, with another adding: “All these celebrities hate each other. This is absolutely hilarious.”
As the groups went to brainstorm their ideas during the episode, Karren was left stunned by one detail. “I’ve been doing The Apprentice now for more than a decade, and I’ve got to tell you, I’ve never seen a brainstorm like it,” she said.

“There were six people all brainstorming their own idea, no-one listening to anyone else. It was absolute chaos.”
Later, the recipe sub-teams headed to the kitchens to create their festive biscuit. Meanwhile, the other half of the teams developed a brand in Santa’s toy factory.
JB’s team created Gary the Penguin, who was flavoured with bubblegum and white pepper. Rob’s team opted for a gingerbread called Jolly McTrouble, which had flavours of vanilla and Christmas pudding, but they got slightly burnt.
With their products created, the teams then went to create their jingles and adverts, with the help of some star-studded guests. But how will the celebrities fare in front of retailers? We’ll find out tomorrow (Tuesday, December 30).
