Taylor Swift’s chart dominance challenged by Joe Keery’s music project
After dominating the charts for 78 consecutive days, Taylor Swift has been dethroned from the No. 1 position by a surprise comeback hit.
The 36-year-old pop sensation’s hit The Fate of Ophelia has been overtaken by End of Beginning by Djo, the music project of actor Joe Keery, following the conclusion of Stranger Things.
The track first achieved chart-topping success upon its release in 2022 before taking over social media, and it has now returned to reclaim the No. 1 position.
As the major achievement comes to light, Keery has previously shared details about his heartwarming encounter with Swift.
“I just happened to be there the day that she was there. And she’s really nice. I mean, I’ve met her a couple of times,” he shared, adding, “She said, ‘Hey, I really love that track of yours, End Of Beginning.'”
The actor, who famously plays Steve Harrington on the Netflix hit series, recalled asking the 14-time Grammy winner how she heard the song, saying, “What? You heard that song? How the hell did you hear that song?”
“She’s, like, a music lover and she’s also so hip to new music and things that are coming out,” Keery continued. “So I guess it’s not shocking to me because she’s a big fan of music and digs around and it somehow came across her desk and she listened to it and said that she liked it. Really nice of her.”
