Tracee Ellis Ross is getting into business with Fox Entertainment Studios. The Black-ish star has struck a wide-ranging deal with the studio via her Joy Mill banner. This includes a first-look deal on scripted projects and an overall deal for unscripted ones.
Ross previously had a scripted overall deal with ABC Signature.
Ross, who co-created Black-ish spinoff Mixed-ish, which ran for two seasons on ABC, will serve as executive producer on a scripted slate that includes comedy, drama and animation as well as reality shows. She will work closely with Adriana Ambriz, who is Head of Development at Joy Mill.
It is the latest development deal for the studio, which has partnerships with the likes of Jeffrey Levine and his production company Bronson Canyon Pictures, former Topic Studios and HBO Films exec Maria Zuckerman, Empire star Taraji P. Henson, HarperCollins, Bill Burr and Jamie Foxx.
