One of the most powerful couples in show business have finalized their divorce.
People reported Tuesday that A-list actor Nicole Kidman and country music superstar Keith Urban reached a settlement, ending a 19-year marriage and a separation process that shocked fans when news of it broke in September 2025.
The couple, both 58, have agreed to waive all child and spousal support rights, People reported, adding that each parent is responsible for their own legal fees and expenses.
The couple has two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 15-year-old Faith Margaret. Kidman is also mother to daughter Bella, 32, and son Connor, 30, from her first marriage to Tom Cruise.
Per People, Kidman and Urban are required to “behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced.”
“They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent,” the agreement states. “They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
Kidman will be the primary guardian to the girls, and they will live with her for 306 days out of the year, according to People. Urban was granted 59 days out of the year, with their daughters spending every other weekend with him.
The relationship between Kidman and Urban was one of longest enduring in celebrity circles. They met 20 years ago in Los Angeles and married just over a year later near Sydney, Australia.
The couple have been living apart since Urban moved out of their home weeks before the news went public and it was reported the singer was the one driving the decision to separate. Reaction to the split has been strong.
“She didn’t want this,” a source told People in September 2025. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
