The American Federation of Musicians Local 47’s members have elected a new leadership team, with Marc Sazer shifting from VP to president, former president John Acosta serving as VP, and Gail Kruvand remaining secretary/treasurer.

The Copyright Alliance has announced two at-large board members: NMPA SVP of legal and business affairs Shannon Sorensen (who’s been reelected) and Recording Academy senior director of advocacy and public policy Kim Alton (who’s newly elected).

TikTok global head of creators Kim Farrell is exiting the company after about six years. Meanwhile, approximately 20 U.S. layoffs are hitting the content division, while the monetization and brand-partnerships teams have added multiple employees.

ASCAP licensing VP Hayley Dukes, who’s been with the PRO since 2020, has been boosted to licensing SVP.
UMG
After about a decade as Warner Music’s chief communications officer, James Steven is set to join Universal Music in the same capacity (plus EVP) on January 26th.
ICMP
The ICMP has announced new roles for three professionals: UMPG global admin president John James Reston (chair of the industry metrics expert group), AMPAL CEO Damian Rinaldi (chair of the global regional group – APAC), and Kobalt Music Publishing Asia director Frederica Wong (vice chair of the global regional group – APAC).
iHeartMedia
iHeartMedia has elevated Mark Glynn (previously Seattle/Spokane area president) to division president of community markets – a title that Jeff Thomas has tacked on in addition to his existing position as EVP of strategic sales development for news talk stations.
Next, Marshal Burgess, president of the Portland market, has been promoted to region president for the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle, Portland, and Spokane.

Big Loud Records has named Stacy Blythe and Jordan Pettit co-presidents; Blythe has been with the label for over a decade, while Pettit is joining from Opry Entertainment Group and will assume the new post on February 2nd.

Peermusic has tapped Paul Smelt, COO of its neighboring rights division, to serve in the same role on a company-wide basis.
UTA
United Talent Agency has announced 19 music-side promotions – including, to agent, Alex Baranello, Ashley Ramos, Eleni Hart, Eli Hanavan, Grace Cunningham, Josh Pollard, Kayleigh Lawrence, Matt Popper, Matt Reinberg, Taylor Krebs, and Tyler Stimmel.
Additionally, Joe Marino is now tour marketing manager, while seven (Branda Cavanna, Dani Narins, Emanuele Grisafi, Kayla Morgan, Sabrina Sutton, Sydney Bryant, and Tom Walker) have been upped to coordinator.
