From the Jonas Brothers to “Harry Potter” in concert, there are a variety of live music events this month. Here are some of the top picks for anyone who’s looking for a fun evening in Knoxville.

Open Mic Night at Barrelhouse by Gypsy Circus — Nov. 3

Every Monday, discover the musical talent of Knoxville at this open mic. The Barrelhouse is one of five wild cider barrelhouses in the U.S. Stop by for good tunes, a lively atmosphere and a menu full of American classics.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.

Jonas Brothers at Thompson-Boling Arena — Nov. 4

Celebrate the Jonas Brothers’ 20th anniversary in a show-stopping concert. The performance commemorates various points of the brothers’ music careers over the past two decades with performances of Nick Jonas’ solo career, Joe Jonas’ solo work and Joe Jonas’ pop-rock project DNCE.

Tickets start at $44.75 and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Mutlu with Shayla McDaniel at Open Chord Stage — Nov. 5

A Philadelphia native, Mutlu is known for his Philly-soul style with hints of folk, reggae and rock. His blend of genres and retro sound produces a smooth groove. McDaniel is a local singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist taking the stage with her pensive alt-pop.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $18.32 when bought in advance or $20 the day of the show.

Tennessee Shines at Bijou Theatre — Nov. 5

This concert and radio show is returning to the Bijou Theatre after a 14-year hiatus. Creating a bluegrass jubilee, the concert will feature artists such as East Nash Grass and AJ Lee & Blue Summit. These two bluegrass bands honor bluegrass roots while expanding the genre with hints of rock, pop, R&B and more.

Tickets are $36.95. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Sophie Gault at WDVX 89.9 FM — Nov. 7

On the first Friday of each month, WDVX hosts a live radio show, giving listeners a front-row seat to East Tennessee’s music scene. This month, Sophie Gault will take the stage with her alt-country and Americana hits. Her storytelling lyrics, warm yet raspy voice and twangy guitars bridge the gap between country grit and soulful introspection.

Admission is free. The show starts at 6 p.m.

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in Concert at Knoxville Civic Auditorium — Nov. 8

Calling all witches and wizards! This enhanced movie experience features the film with a live orchestra playing the iconic score.

Tickets start at $75.95. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Willi Carlisle at Bijou Theatre — Nov. 19

With an energetic sound, Willi Carlisle combines banjo, accordion, fiddle, acoustic guitar and an authentically unguarded voice that forms a heartfelt blend of folk, country and modern Americana. On his “Winged Victory Tour,” Carlisle cherishes his first self-produced album, “Victory,” featuring musical risk and a blend of absurdity and philosophy.

Tickets start at $61.90. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Watchhouse at Tennessee Theatre — Nov. 23

This grassroots duo is bringing their new studio album, “Rituals,” to the stage. Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz create timeless and reflective Americana with elements of folk, bluegrass and roots music. Their combined vocal talents, understated percussion and profound lyricism make for intricate harmonies and poetic observation.

Tickets start at $57.05. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
