celebrity.land’s Stephanie Elam interviews Nikki Glaser, host of 2026 Golden Globes
Nikki Glaser is set to return as the host of tonight’s Golden Globes, and she has a plan in place for making sure there are no future awkward encounters with any actors on the receiving end of her jokes.
When it comes to A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney – who Glaser teased in a recent interview with celebrity.land’s Stephanie Elam that she has some planned jokes about — she intends to simply “just avoid them the rest of my career.”
“I think that’s a safer plan than just texting them,” Glaser said. “I feel like they’re in a different Illuminati level.”
Glaser joked she’s “not going to parties that Leo’s” attending, and is pretty confident that she could “probably safely never run into George Clooney again if I wanted to and it wouldn’t be a problem in my life, or his, to make that happen.”
One actor who Glaser admitted having to tiptoe around, however, is Julia Roberts.
“People don’t want to laugh about Julia,” she said. “People don’t think that’s funny, you don’t laugh about her. She’s protected. She’s like our Kate Middleton.”
All jokes aside, Glaser isn’t trying to take jabs that result in her having to avoid anyone, and promised to deliver a comedic performance that everyone will hopefully find funny.
“I want everyone to have a good time,” the comedian, who is hosting the Globes for the second consecutive year, said. “I don’t want to make anyone upset.”
