Fans spot Harry Styles running Berlin Marathon
Harry Styles completed the Berlin Marathon in under three hours, even beating his Tokyo Marathon race time.
Harry Styles fans are spinning out waiting for the singer’s seemingly imminent return to music.
A new website and series of posters around the world bearing the phrase “We Belong Together” emerged on Jan. 12, leading the internet to speculate that the “Late Night Talking” singer is teasing new music.
Just a few weeks ago, Styles posted an over eight-minute video chronicling the last show of his “Love On Tour” at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy, on July 22, 2023.
At the end of the video, the camera pans to a wide-angle shot of the crowd with the phrase “We Belong Together” across the screen.
The new website, which fans are tying back to the former “One Direction” singer, is housed at the domain webelongtogether.co. The site features only a wide-angle shot of a crowd — seemingly the same image used in the Dec. 27 video. The website also has a copyright disclaimer from Sony Music, Styles’ label.
At the same time, fans began spotting posters with the same image and the phrase “We Belong Together” appearing around the world.
USA TODAY has reached out to a rep for Styles.
Why fans are linking ‘We Belong Together’ messages to Harry Styles
The “We Belong Together” website also includes an apparent Easter egg.
When clicked, the website’s banner directs fans to a contact page for “HSHQ” — or Harry Styles headquarters. The message button leads users to text the message “we belong together” to a phone number, which replies with a link to enter contact information, including email and address. Once filled out, the number responds “HAVE A NICE DAY.”
Later, Styles’ official website went blank except for a “sign up” box, which, when completed, also reads, “HAVE A NICE DAY.”
“We Belong Together” posters also emerged in cities around the world, including New York, Berlin, Germany, and São Paulo, Brazil, according to fans on social media.
Each of the posters also apparently included messages in their top corner, including “see you very soon” and “here we go again,” eagle-eyed fans pointed out.
‘I used to pray for the days like this’: Harry Styles fans react
While all roads seem to lead back to Styles, when and what a potential announcement from the singer will be about is yet to be seen. Fans on social media, though, were quick to speculate about new music.
Styles has not released music since putting out the funky synth-pop album “Harry’s House” in 2022. It later took home the coveted album of the year Grammy in 2023. In the years since, Styles has focused on an acting career, appearing in films like “Don’t Worry Darling” and “My Policeman.”
Many of Styles’ fans reveled in the thought that the singer’s four-year music drought could be coming to an end.
“I used to pray for the days like this,” @hrryshomee wrote on X.
Others quipped about their kneejerk reaction to give out their private information.
“i just gave my personal information to a random number i saw on the internet just because it was related to harry styles,” @hrrymyfriend said on X.
Everyone agreed that celebration is in order.
“HARRY IS REALLY BACK, IT’S HAPPENING,” @aleestyles91 wrote on X.
@harrysblackcoat wrote, “We did it everyone , the Hrought is over. Welcome back Harry Styles.”
