Robert Pattinson sunk his teeth into “Marty Supreme.”
The “Twilight” actor, 39, had a secret role in the Timothée Chalamet led film.
“No one knows this, but that voice—the commentator, the umpire—is Pattinson,” director Josh Safdie told the British Film Institute on Tuesday, per Variety.
The filmmaker, 41, who was referring to the British Open semifinals scene at the start of the movie, added: “It’s like a little easter egg. Nobody knows about that.”
Safdie explained that Pattinson “came and watched some stuff and I was like, ‘I don’t know any British people.’ So, he’s the umpire.”
In the scene, Pattinson is heard as the announcer while Chalamet’s Marty Mauser goes up against Hungarian champion Bela Kletzki (Géza Röhrig).
The “Uncut Gems” director and “Die My Love” star previously worked together on the 2017 crime thriller “Good Time.”
Pattinson originally reached out to Safdie and his brother Benny Safdie, who co-directed the film, to ask for a meeting.
“It was just kind of agreed that we would do something,” the “Batman” actor told Vulture in 2017. “It wasn’t about any particular project or anything. But I remember leaving the meeting and thinking, ‘Yeah.’”
As Pattinson explained: “Usually a meeting about a movie is just with the director. And you’re kind of trying to impress them and they’re trying to impress you. So, to have it with two people, it was more like entering a show.”
“That’s kind of what I wanted,” he continued. “I knew that to get to a certain level of energy that I wanted, you have to commit to somebody else’s world. And it seemed like they had a self-contained world that they were a part of, that they weren’t just trying to make a movie or whatever. But it felt like an entire environment you could go into.”
“Marty Supreme” isn’t the first time an A-lister has had a hidden cameo.
“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” director Rian Johnson snuck actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt into the third installment, which was released in Nov. 2025.
The star, 44, can be seen drinking a beer in the background while Mark Ruffalo does a magic trick. Gordon-Levitt also had a cameo in the original film, 2019’s “Knives Out.”
“I will work with him any time he’s available,” Johnson told Cinema Blend in 2019. “I can’t wait to get on a set with him again. You know, he does have a cameo in this. He’s a voice in the beginning. Keep your ears open. You’ll hear a JGL cameo.”
Gordon-Levitt made his first appearance in the director’s debut film, “Brick,” in 2005 and has continuously been featured in his projects ever since.
“Funnily enough, and folks may or may not know this, I’ve actually gotten to cameo in every single one of Rian Johnson’s films, from ‘Brick’ to ‘The Brothers Bloom’ and even ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi,’” he told Us Weekly in 2021. “It’s a tradition that I hope we get to keep up!”
That same year, Mark Hamill, who famously played Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars,” revealed that he has secretly played multiple other roles in the sci-fi franchise.
“Did you know… I voiced multiple secret voice-cameos in every #StarWars movie released since 2015?” Hamill, 74, tweeted at the time.
The actor added that the films were: “Sequels, Solo, Rogue One.”
Hamill also praised the cast and crew for keeping his CGI appearance in the Season 2 finale a secret.
“The fact that we were able to keep my involvement a secret for over a year with no leaks is nothing less than a miracle. A real triumph for spoiler-haters everywhere!” he wrote on X at the time.
Hamill first appeared as Luke in 2017’s “A New Hope” before making his last appearance in 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”
