Andrew’s ‘passport’ into the royal family revealed

Biographer Ingrid Seward believes Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is using his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to stay in the royal fold. “He wants to keep a foot in. A., he wants to know what’s going on and B., he’d want to know what people were saying about him,” she said on The Sun‘s Royal Exclusive show. “He’s always said that, and Fergie [Sarah Ferguson] has said, ‘the girls are my passport.’ They are Andrew’s only passport into the royal family now. And I’m absolutely sure that he persuaded them.”

Although Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were disinvited to Christmas with the royals, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie attended. “I was fascinated by Beatrice and Eugenie going to Sandringham because we were led to believe that both of them were going to stay away from Royal Lodge, they were going to stay away from Sandringham to avoid being seen like they’re taking sides,” royal editor Matt Wilkinson said during The Sun‘s Royal Exclusive show. “However, they changed their minds and they went to Sandringham. They were standing on the steps outside of the church, smiling, happy with King Charles III.”

While it appears disloyal, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor likely encouraged Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to be with the royal family for the holiday. “They might have said, ‘Oh, papa, we want to be with you.’ And he’d said, ‘No, I want you to go there. That’s what’s going to make me happy,’ ” Ingrid Seward theorized.

After Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was essentially banished from The Firm, journalist Charlie Ray feels the former Duke of York is using Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie as spies. “Andrew wants to keep an eye on what’s going on,” he said on The Sun‘s Royal Exclusive show. “He’s not invited, so he’s not at the table anymore. So, one of the first things that would have happened when they got back would be Andrew on the phone saying, right, who said what?”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s titles were removed and was evicted from Royal Lodge over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. “He’s coming to terms with the fact he’s lost everything that mattered to him. His status, his position in the royal family and military, and to a lesser extent, a fractured family,” a source told The Telegraph.
