In 2023, the average runtime of the ten highest-grossing movies in the United States was two hours and twenty-three minutes, up nearly thirty minutes from the average at the start of the decade. While films with epic lengths possess the ability to offer audiences a grand cinematic experience, sometimes it is not feasible to fit such a long movie into a busy schedule.
