Batman premiered on ABC on January 12, 1966, and while the show owes much of its success to its fun action, dynamic cartoon-inspired design, and iconic performances by Adam West and Burt Ward, its constant stream of celebrity guest stars didn’t hurt.
Many of the decade’s big and small screen stars clamored for a guest spot with the Caped Crusader. Some in the show’s famous “window cameos,” but others popped up in full-fledged roles, often playing a vicious villain whom the Dynamic Duo had to defeat.
