Becky Lynch on Netflix film with Chiefs co-star, WWE Unreal Season 2

This week, Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke with WWE Superstar and actor Becky Lynch.

In her interview with Easton Jr., Lynch discussed her role in ‘WWE Unreal’ Season 2, which premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, January 20th. She also reflected on her role in Happy Gilmore 2 alongside Adam Sandler and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“Oh yeah, it was great. I mean, being on set with so many, just icons, yeah, there are too many, too many to name,” said Lynch, who played character ‘Flex’, “It was such a great experience seeing how Adam Sandler works, and it’s just been wonderful. I’ve been loving every minute of it.”

Happy Gilmore 2 had a strong viewership, ranking No. 1 on Netflix’s top 10 English-language movies list last summer. The film debuted with 46.7 million views over its first three days, making it, at the time, the largest Netflix film opening in the United States.

Lynch is one of the most recognizable faces in WWE, thanks to her many achievements in the ring and undeniable superstar presence. She described her experience filming the second season of ‘WWE Unreal’ behind the scenes alongside her husband and fellow WWE Superstar Seth Rollins.

“Yeah, I mean, there’s that old school mentality that I think is in both of us, where we feel a little bit sheltered and a little bit uncomfortable letting it all out there. But I also think that as a fan, I would have loved to see this. This would have been my dream,” said Lynch, “So, you know, wrestling has gone through different stages, and right now we are in the midst of everybody knowing that it’s story lines, that it’s entertainment, and however else we can service them in entertainment.”
