Pic is directed by Lawrence Kasdan, the filmmaker responsible for such classic films as The Big Chill, Body Heat, and The Bodyguard, among others. Perhaps one of the most successful comedians of all time across film, television, theater and more, Short broke out with his Emmy-winning work on Canada’s Sctv, which brought him to the attention of the producers of SNL. While he was only there for a season, he became a fan-favorite for his portrayal of characters such as Ed Grimley, lawyer Nathan Thurm and “legendary songwriter” Irving Cohen.
