
Timothy Busfield dropped from project after arrest
Timothy Busfield has been removed from an upcoming project after facing grave child abuse charges.
The actor was set to star in romantic comedy, You Deserve Each Other, with Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy.
The movie is directed by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn and is based on Sarah Hogle’s 2020 novel.
It was confirmed by People that all scene including Timothy will be cut from the Amazon MGM Studios film.
The 68-year-old, who is best known for his work in The West Wing, was arrested by authorities on January 13 in New Mexico.
The arrest was made after a warrant was issued on January 9.
The actor has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse involving 11-year-old twin boys.
The minor boys reportedly met the actor on the set of The Cleaning Lady.
Timothy continues to deny the allegations calling them “horrible” and “all lies”.
He last made an appearance in court on January 14 and a judge ruled that he will remain in custody until his pretrial detention hearing on January 20.
