The long-time friends and former Nickelodeon co-stars will topline and produce Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein, a horror comedy that’s set to begin production in the summer. The movie is co-produced by Thompson’s Artists for Artists company and Range Media Partners, with the latter’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Pete Micelli handling sales.
Jonah Feingold (31 Candles, At Midnight) is writing the script, which pays homage to the old Abbott and Costello Meet … films. Thompson and Mitchell will produce alongside Artists for Artists co-founder John Ryan Jr., Kavanaugh-Jones and Carter Swan. Will Hariton, Azim Spicer and Monica Weber executive produce.
Mitchell and Thompson — whose last project together was 2023’s Good Burger 2 on Paramount+ — announced the project at the end of Tuesday’s Good Sports on Prime Video, where Mitchell filled in for regular host Kevin Hart.
