It promises to be a must-see for House and Disco fans

Bristol’s Harbourside Amphitheatre venue is set to host yet another new music event this year, as the Where We Belong Festival launches at Canon’s Marsh. Described as a ‘new boutique House and Disco festival’ Where We Belong will make its debut on Saturday, May 16, with the line-up still to be announced.

Promising a one-day, open-air ‘celebration of uplifting Dance music, connection and carefully curated daytime energy by the Harbourside’, the festival will run from 2pm until 11pm for a ‘more intimate’ festival experience. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 6, at 10am and fans are being urged to sign up in advance for priority access to line-up announcements and ticket releases.

Alongside general admission tickets, VIP options will also be available and will grant ticket holders with access to elevated viewing areas, a dedicated VIP area, fast-track entry and premium toilet facilities.

Speaking about the launch, event director Kris Jones said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing Where We Belong to Bristol. This city is special – it has a deep-rooted relationship with dance music and a real sense of community around it. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create something that feels right for Bristol, and we can’t wait to welcome people to Canon’s Marsh this May for a spectacular day and night of house and disco.”

The line-up is set to be announced in the coming weeks and organisers say it will feature artists across the House and Disco genres, adding that the event will be full of “feel-good sounds and daytime-into-sunset moments”.

It comes as the Amphitheatre venue is already set to play host to both Bristol Sounds and SIREN Festival this summer. Bristol Sounds returns to the Harbourside in June, with a line-up of The Kooks, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), Super Furry Animals and Royel Otis, and The Streets taking arguably top billing as they play their seminal album A Grand Don’t Come For Free in full on two sold-out nights.
