Katy Perry may be associated with prisms and peacocks, but it appears that with her new relationship, she’s going through a bit of a style transformation.
This week, the “Bandaids” singer spent time at the World Economic Forum, where she watched her boyfriend, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, give a speech on the value of “soft power.”
As she supported her beau at the Global Soft Power Summit in Davos, Switzerland, Perry opted for an understated look, trading her whipped-cream bras for a polished oatmeal set from Jacquemus.
Her ensemble consisted of a merino wool-blend cardigan and a matching midi skirt in a soft beige, which she accessorized with a set of square statement earrings in silver—the only flashy touch in an otherwise quietly luxurious look.
The cardigan was defined by its organic silhouette, with a scoop neckline and arching sleeves, as well as a cropped hem that contributed to the overall spherical shape. As for the skirt, it hugged Perry’s body and featured subtle lines on the back, where there was also a concealed zip fastener.
Later on in the summit, Perry showed off her best business style again, switching into a pinstripe navy-blue wool jacket and straight-leg pants from the Mugler Re/Edit collection, a line that offers reimagined takes on some of the French maison’s best archival pieces.
Perry’s single-breasted blazer featured a plunging neckline and a white ribbed-knit tank layered underneath for a halter-style look. Meanwhile, her high-rise pants were defined by their sharp, straight legs that pooled over the pop star’s shoes.
Trudeau may no longer be the prime minister of Canada, but it sure seems like Perry is gearing up for her first lady era.
