Bravo asked Lisa Rinna to dial down the drama after her statements about Colton Underwood went viral, Rob Shuter reported on his Naughty But Nice Substack on Monday, January 26.
On Friday, January 23, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 62, responded to a fans’ post about the previous night’s episode of The Traitors, in which she had an intense face-off with Underwood, 34, at the round table.
“Let’s talk about you being a stalker….” Rinna commented, seemingly referencing the 2020 restraining order filed against the former Bachelor by his ex, Cassie Randolph, which alleged that he had sent her “unsettling” text messages and planted a tracking device in her car, according to Page Six.

After her jab made headlines, “Bravo PR hit the roof,” one insider told Shuter. “This crossed from shady TV banter into something legally and morally messy. Lisa was told to clean it up — immediately.”
The next day, she did what she was told, Shuter reported.
“It’s come to my attention that my post that I responded to in my ‘housewife mode’ is taking on a life of its own and it’s causing real problems for Colton,” the former Days of Our Lives actress said in a video posted on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 24, per Page Six. “I do not want this because Colton and I are great. He was a great, and is a great, nemesis for me on the show [and] in the game.”
“The fact that the backlash is happening, I feel horrible about because I don’t want to hurt anybody. I’m here to play the game and have fun,” Rinna added.
“So, please guys be gentle. It’s a game, it’s a TV show,” the Dancing with the Stars alum concluded. “We’re all doing the best we can. Don’t send death threats or do anything to jeopardize somebody’s family.”
“That video had crisis control written all over it,” another source told Shuter.

Rinna wasn’t the only one to urge fans to be kind. “The cast of The Traitors are real people, and what happens in the game should never lead to cyberbullying or harassment,” a post on the competition show’s official social media pages. “There’s a difference between discussing a show and targeting individuals. Let’s not ruin the passion for this show with unwarranted negativity and personal attacks. We appreciate your support.”
“Translation?” Shuter reported. “Everyone was scrambling.”
