West One Music Group has appointed George Hyde as its global head of legal & business affairs, royalties & copyright.
Hyde – who will report to COO Maria Scott and join the company’s executive team – will now lead global strategy across rights, licensing, and administration, supporting the company’s activities while strengthening collective management frameworks.
An official press release states that the newly created role “reflects West One Music’s focus on building simple, scalable and commercially robust systems for artists and partners as the business continues to expand globally.”
Hyde will also work closely with West One Music’s teams

Founded in London’s Soho in 2002 by Edwin Cox, Tony Prior and film and TV composer Richard Harvey, West One has since opened offices and production studios in 15 countries and more recently, a custom music division led by the Los Angeles office.
