Speaking about the current status of Andrew’s relationship with his youngest daughter, a source told the Mail on Sunday: “Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family. They aren’t exactly in regular and close contact at the moment, but Eugenie isn’t trying to walk that line. She’s not speaking to him.”

Given Andrew’s refusal to apologise to Epstein’s victims and Eugenie’s passion for helping those who have gone through the horrors of that experience, the breakdown in their relationship may not come as a surprise.
The ex-Duke’s approach was further amplified when King Charles and Queen Camilla issued a heartfelt statement, which put the victims at the centre of the issue.
The final line was the most telling as it read: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
While both the King and Queen issued the statement, it was reported at the time that Camilla was left “greatly embarrassed” by the former Prince’s links to Epstein, as she has devoted years to supporting victims who suffer abuse, coercive control and sexual violence.
The significance of Their Majesties’ statement focusing on the survivors was also echoed by the CEO of domestic abuse charity Refuge, Gemma Sherrington. At the time, she told the Express: “It’s incredibly powerful to see survivors recognised so directly in a statement from the Palace.
“When leaders show empathy and make clear that their thoughts are with victims and survivors, it helps to challenge the silence and stigma that too often surround abuse. Refuge welcomes this acknowledgement from Her Majesty The Queen, which sends an important message: that survivors matter, that their experiences are believed, and that they deserve to be at the heart of national conversations about abuse.”
