Filming for Season 4 of the beloved comedy “Ted Lasso” is underway — and new photos just dropped.
Apple TV+ released images from set on Wednesday, showing Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso talking with Hannah Waddingham’s Rebecca Welton in front of the Richmond jet.
Other shots saw Ted coaching a soccer team of girls and smiling on the field with his new assistant coach played by Tanya Reynolds.
The upcoming season is set to debut in summer 2026, with Sudeikis, Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift back to reprise their roles.
Newcomers include Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
Feely is playing Ted’s son Henry after the role was recast prior to Season 4. Another picture dropped by Apple captured the father-son duo at Mae Green’s (Annette Badland) Crown & Anchor pub in London.
The role was originally played by Gus Turner in Season one through three.
Over the summer, it was also reported that Phil Dunster, who played AFC Richmond player Jamie Tartt, would not be returning as a series regular due to a scheduling conflict.
Viewers can expect to see Ted return “to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” per the synopsis.
“Ted Lasso” is currently in production in London.
In March, Sudeikis confirmed another season of the soccer series after Season 3 was seemingly the end.
“We’re writing Season 4 now. That’s the official word,” the actor revealed during Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast at the time.
Sudeikis clarified that Season 4 will have a totally different premise than past seasons.

Travis, 36, interjected, asking: “Is he coming back to the States or…?”
The “Saturday Night Live” alum cheekily replied, “Yeah, that’s too many questions.”
Shortly after, a press release confirmed the news, stating: “In Season 4, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
“‘Ted Lasso’ has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief,” Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, added.
“Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind this show.”
The Emmy-winning comedy originally ran for three seasons from 2020 and 2023. “Ted Lasso” was officially set to end in 2023.
The show followed American football coach Ted Lasso, who found himself coaching AFC Richmond, a down-on-their-luck English football (soccer) team.
Season 1 earned 20 Emmy nominations, landing the project the title of most nominated freshman comedy in history. Seasons 2 and 3 also garnered over 20 Emmy nominations, and multiple wins.
In March 2023, Sudeikis told Deadline, “This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell. The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don’t even know yet — that being Season 3 — it’s flattering.”
Co-creator Bill Lawrence also opened up about the direction of the show.
“You can ask anybody that wrote on the show, or acted on the show, or produced the show, and we will all say the same thing, which is, that’s up to Jason Sudeikis,” Lawrence told The Post in August 2024.
“As a fan, of course, I’d love to see it again,” he added. “But whatever [Sudeikis] ends up doing, I’m totally down with. And I get it.”
In December 2024, Lawrence added to The Post, “Why you know something? Because if someone wants to do a Season 4, tell them I said yes. Just say it. Just put it out there.”
