DanceAspen’s ‘Re:imagine — A Sneak Peek with Emilie Leriche,’ Jan. 30

A free, exclusive preview and behind-the-scenes look at DanceAspen’s upcoming production, “Re:imagine — A Sneak Peek with Emilie Leriche,” will be presented from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Aspen Art Museum rooftop, located at 637 E. Hyman Ave. The full production will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 and 3 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Wheeler Opera House, featuring the Princess Grace winner, Emilie Leriche. Her working title is “Of Field,” based on Mark Strand’s poem. No tickets are required.

‘The Rock and Roll Academy Winter Concert,’ Jan. 30

After four months of preparation, area middle school and high school musicians and their bands will perform “The Rock and Roll Academy Winter Rock Concert” from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 30 at The Arts Campus at Willits. The students will deliver their student-original music and handpicked classics for the community. The Arts Campus at Willits is located at 400 Robinson St. in Basalt.

Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble will perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Wheeler Opera House Jan. 30. Six-time Grammy winner, music producer, and president of Blue Note Records will bring his Pan-Detroit Ensemble to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Grateful Dead’s “Blues for Allah,” showcasing the entire album and performing music from their latest album.



“Every show is an adventure because they are all different because the audience becomes part of the band, really. When you get that flow of energy going, there will be a couple of times during the course of the night when you can blow the roof off the place,” Was said.

Clean observational standup comedian Ryan Hamilton will be performing two shows at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Jan. 31 at The Arts Campus at Willits, located at 400 Robinson St in Basalt. The New York-based popular comic gained national attention for his Netflix specials and opened for Jerry Seinfeld multiple times. He shared with The Aspen Times he is looking forward to his shows in Basalt.

PAIGE men’s pop-up, Jan. 30-Feb. 1

PAIGE, the Los Angeles-based fashion brand known for its elevated denim and modern wardrobe staples, will open a curated Men’s Winter Collection pop-up shop from Jan. 30-Feb. 1 at MOLLIE Aspen’s Roof Terrace.

Inspired by the retro nostalgia of Aspen’s golden era and designed for life in the mountains, the intimate shopping experience will feature an assortment of premium denim, outerwear, knits, shirting, and cold-weather essentials, thoughtfully edited for winter. Throughout the weekend, PAIGE will host live cooking demonstrations with Chef Ludo Lefebvre from 4-5 p.m. Jan. 30, a whiskey tasting with Woody Creek Distillers from 4-5 p.m. Jan. 31, and a complimentary milk and cookies by MOLLIE Aspen from 4-5 p.m. Feb. 1 to close out the event. The MOLLIE Aspen is located at 111 S. Garmisch St.

The Aspen Words series continues with award-winning author Lily King presenting her novel “Heart the Lover,” in conversation with Mitzi Rapkin from 6-7 p.m. Feb. 4 at Paepcke Auditorium, located at 1000 N. 3rd St. King is the author of six novels, including her award-winning book, “Euphoria,” and she will discuss her work, craft, and creative process.

‘Folding Time,’ Feb. 4-5

“Folding Time” is a one-hour paper folding workshop led by Koko Bayer from 5-6 p.m. Feb. 4-5 at the Boettcher Building at the Aspen Institute, adjacent to the Bayer Center. Koko Bayer is the granddaughter of Herbert Bayer and co-curator of “Sculpting the Three-Dimensional Environment,” currently running at the Aspen Institute, located at 620 W. Gillespie Ave. Tickets for “Folding Time” cost $25.

Ralph Lauren is bringing an Olympic pop-up to Aspen from noon to 7 p.m. daily Feb. 3-6 at Hotel Jerome: Auberge Resorts Collection to celebrate Team USA and the road to Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Hotel Jerome’s outdoor courtyard will be transformed into an alpine-inspired destination where visitors can experience Ralph’s Bar signature cocktails, fireside seating, charming phonebooth moments, and the courtyard ice rink, plus a live primetime broadcast of the Opening Ceremony. The pop-up will be in the Hotel Jerome courtyard at 330 E. Main St.
