Prince Harry is currently trapped “between two narratives”, a PR expert has claimed as she discussed the royal’s current position away from the Firm. Six years on from his decision to step down as a senior royal, the 41-year-old has branched out into the realm of celebrity, typically accompanied by his wife, Meghan Markle.
“Publicly, he remains closely associated with Remembrance, service and duty. Privately, he is operating in a Hollywood environment where visibility is part of the transaction.
“The tension is not that he attends these events, but that there seems to be a reluctance to fully own that world once he is in it.”
She then added: “From a brand standpoint, this halfway house is the problem. Hollywood does not operate on selective anonymity. Presence implies consent.
“Once you step into those rooms, control over image becomes shared, not personal.”
She then claimed that once in the realm, it is “awkward” to step away again. Ms Freeman said: “Attempts to row back afterwards can come across as awkward rather than principled.”
Meghan and Harry were pictured arriving at the party last year, with photographs shared by Kris and Kim on social media – before they mysteriously disappeared.
Speaking out about deleting the pictures, Kim said on the latest episode of the Khloe in Wonderland podcast: “We were told that it was totally cool to post, and then after it was posted, I think they realised it was Remembrance Day and they didn’t want to be seen at a party even though it’s already up.”
