Taylor Swift‘s sky is “Opalite” — and star-studded.
The Grammy-winning singer released the second music video from her The Life of a Showgirl album on Feb. 6. What begins as a satirical commercial for an “Opalite” spray that promises instant happiness quickly spirals into a surreal, cameo-packed love story built around unconventional connections.
Swift, who wrote and directed the visual, shared in an Instagram post announcing the release how the idea “crash landed into [her] imagination” while promoting her 12th album on Graham Norton‘s talk show back in October 2025.
“I remember thinking I got ridiculously lucky with the group I was paired with,” the singer-songwriter explained, calling out the group of actors and singers, which included Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith and Lewis Capaldi, as people whose work she’s “admired from afar.”
The “Cruel Summer” singer continued that she thought “it would be wild” to include her fellow guests and Norton in the video, “like a school group project, but for adults, and it isn’t mandatory.”
“To my delight, everyone from the show made the effort to time travel back to the 90’s with us and help with this video,” Swift wrote. “You might even recognize some friendly faces from The Eras Tour … I had more fun than I ever imagined – Made new friends, metaphors, and fashion choices. It was an absolute thrill to create this story and these characters.”
In addition to the slate of Oscar-winning actors and Grammy-nominated singers, Swift also included some of her Eras Tour dancers, including Kameron Saunders as a dance judge and Jan Ravnik as an actor in a commercial.

Greta Lee

Lee appears early in the video as a singer on TV during Swift’s “date” with a large gray rock. Though The Morning Show star hasn’t addressed her cameo, she has spoken about appearing alongside the singer on The Graham Norton Show — including what it was like seeing her engagement ring from Travis Kelce up close.
“I just saw something bright and shiny come in front of me, and I grabbed it,” Lee told Entertainment Tonight in October 2025, joking about how she “crossed a line” by grabbing Swift’s hand. “It was so fun. We love you, Taylor.”
Domhnall Gleeson

In the video, Swift is in a seemingly one-sided relationship with a rock she pulled out of a “best friend” box. Viewers later meet Gleeson’s character, who is in a similar, yet slightly more painful relationship with a cactus.
When he sprays his cactus with Opalite, it turns into Swift, and their sweet, silly connection evolves.
The About Time actor was the one who planted the seed for the video in Swift’s mind.
“When we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos,” she wrote in her Instagram post. “He’s Irish! He was joking! Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an *idea*. And so a week later he received an email script I’d written for the Opalite video, where he was playing the starring role.”
Lewis Capaldi

The “Someone You Loved” singer plays a mall photographer taking hilarious photos of Swift and Gleeson. Upon seeing their awkward poses, he asks if they want to be friends. The new couple enthusiastically agree and invite him into their photoshoot.
Capaldi defended Swift after rumors circulated that he didn’t talk about his album during their The Graham Norton Show episode because it would take away from her promotion. In reality, the singer didn’t discuss it because it hadn’t officially been announced yet.
“I saw a TikTok about that,” he said during a December 2025 interview on the Kyle and Jackie O Show. “And it’s a woman being like ‘Taylor did this, and she’s evil, and this and that.’ And I’m going like, ‘That’s completely made up.’ “
Graham Norton

The British talk show host appears later in the video as a salesperson for Opalite’s antidote “Nope-alite,” which would reverse the product’s effect. Swift has long been a fan of Norton and his show, calling it “one of her favorites” in her Instagram announcement.
“For those of you who aren’t familiar, it’s a UK late night show where Graham Norton (the insanely charismatic and lovable host) invites a random group of actors, entertainers, musicians, etc to be on his show and we all sit there and chat like it’s a dinner party,” she wrote, adding, “They even serve wine.”
Cillian Murphy

“Opalite” even features a brief cameo from Murphy, who is pictured on a mall billboard promoting the magical spray. This marked the first collaboration between the Oscar-winning actor and the singer, though she described him in her Instagram post as someone whose career she’s long admired.
Jodie Turner-Smith

Turner-Smith also appears in the music video as a TV aerobics class instructor that Swift and her “rock” BFF work out to. The actress also praised the singer when asked about their time together on The Graham Norton Show and what she thought of her engagement.
“I love Taylor,” the Queen & Slim star told Entertainment Tonight. “The best thing was her excitement over it. I’m a romantic at heart, and I love to see someone excited for their future and what it brings.”
