Actor Ayesha Khan has opened up about the dark side of artificial intelligence, revealing that morphed images and videos of her have been circulating online. The actor said the growing misuse of AI is alarming and disturbing, stressing that such incidents reflect how easily manipulated content is being normalised on social media.
Ayesha spoke about the issue during an interview with Pinkvilla, highlighting how frightening the impact of AI has become online.
She recalled a personal incident and revealed that her mother had once come across an AI-generated video featuring her. She said, “The AI thing that has started is very scary. You have made a whole app to sexualise women on the internet… I can’t humanly process this information that this is happening There was a picture of me and Vijay sir… it was turned into an AI video where we are hugging each other. I had to tell her that this has never happened before.”
The actor revealed that she has seen several altered images of herself that appear highly realistic, adding that it is “sad how most people would not know that it’s AI”.
Addressing the larger issue of privacy, Ayesha also spoke about paparazzi culture and viral clips. “People don’t understand consent. You can’t do these things without asking They know it’s wrong… you’re capturing someone’s oops moment and even posting that publicly,” she said.
However, she clarified that not all paparazzi behave the same way and described many photographers as “good people”. According to Ayesha, several of them respect her boundaries, and when she requests that certain pictures not be posted, they comply.
Ayesha recently gained popularity for her appearance in Dhurandhar’s viral dance number Shararat, alongside Krystle D’Souza. Set during a wedding celebration in the Ranveer Singh-starrer, the song features the two actors as wedding dancers at a lavish Karachi ceremony. Composed by Sashwat Sachdev and sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas, the track has been choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.
Dhurandhar, which also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, has emerged as a massive box-office success, becoming India’s highest-grossing film of 2025. The sequel is scheduled to release in March this year.
Apart from this, Ayesha has featured in projects such as Baalveer Returns, Mukhachitram, Om Bheem Bush, Manamey and Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.
