Stay up to date with New Zealand music releases with Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s weekly roundup.

Check out the best new music from Aotearoa acts released between February 2nd-8th below!

Harry Charles – “Great Pages”

The fourth single from Harry Charles’ forthcoming album Nova, “Great Pages” draws inspiration from Harry’s years immersed in Berlin’s music and club culture, tapping into a deeper, mood-led groove where downtempo meets deep house. “As with most of my music, this tune came from simply sitting down and locking into a groove,” he shares of the song.

TiGER – “Chameleon”

Taking listeners on a mesmerising journey, “Chameleon” confronts one of TiGER’s most personal narratives to date, reflecting on imperfection, desperation, longing, and his own near miss with danger. “All my music is about life lessons and being fierce enough to show the good and the bad that comes with being human,” TiGER shares. “In this song, I hope people learn to listen to their gut, know their self-worth, and know who they are as people, because changing yourself entirely to fit someone else is no way to live.”

batbatGoose – “No Apology”

The project from James Battersby, batbatgoose’s debut single “No Apology” showcases his sound of colliding shimmering indie pop soundscapes with pumping club grooves perfectly. Built for the floor, but grounded in the sensibilities of someone who came up writing songs first, the song sees batbatGoose reimagine his indie roots in a new context.
