In addition to a California couple getting married onstage and a cameo from beloved Highland Park taco shop Villa’s Tacos, an LAUSD teacher was also part of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
The district celebrated Garfield High School teacher Patricia Martin, who performed with the Mariachi Divas during the show.
“With every bow stroke and soaring string, you delivered a performance that resonated across the stadium and around the world — showcasing the power of culture, talent and representation,” Los Angeles Unified wrote on X.

While most viewers immediately recognized Lady Gaga, who performed a salsa‑style version of “Die With a Smile,” and Ricky Martin, who sang a track from Bad Bunny’s “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” album, several other celebrities also appeared.
Cameos included Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Karol G and Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko.

Some viewers believed the boy represented Liam Ramos, the 5‑year‑old Minnesota child whose ICE detention drew national attention. Others wondered if it was Ramos himself.
The child was later identified as Lincoln Fox Ramadan, a 5‑year‑old boy from Costa Mesa who is half Egyptian and half Argentinian.
Bad Bunny, who is Puerto Rican, closed his performance by honoring Latin America, parading the flags of Central American and Caribbean nations across the field.
