Kylie Jenner opens up about landing role in Charli xcx’s mockumentary
Kylie Jenner has opened up about how she was cast in Charli xcx’s produced mockumentary The Moment.
During a recent video interview on Instagram, the 28-year-old reality TV star revealed that she actually asked for a role before officially joining the cast, as she was speaking with the British singer-songwriter and director Aidan Zamiri about their new film.
“We were actually on a flight together and you were telling me about this project,” Kylie said of the duo. “And I believe in you [Zamiri] so much and you [Charli] so much and I presented the idea, I think.”
To which the Apple hitmaker quipped, “You were like, ‘Put me in the film!'”
“That’s basically what I said,” the mom of two agreed. “I was like, ‘Well, if you want me, I’ll be there.’ “
Furthermore, Kylie also joked about her role and clarified that she is “not really a b****.”
“I was very nervous up until we were actually doing it. I think I’m comfortable in front of cameras, less comfortable doing something I’ve never done before in front of people,” she shared.
“I think after the first take, I was like ‘Okay. I feel good about this.’ And I was very well prepared. I was thinking of working with an acting coach, but then I’m like, ‘I’m playing myself, and I’m in the movie for like three minutes,'” Kylie added. “Just practicing with people that I trust and my friends and my family, that gave me confidence.”
The Moment, which debuted in limited release on January 30, takes a satirical look at fame and the music industry after Charli XCX’s 2024 Brat success.
