Savannah Guthrie’s former colleague, CBS legal analyst Rikki Klieman, has weighed in on the disappearance of the Today star’s mother, Nancy Guthrie.
Rikki appeared on the Fox News program One Nation with Bryan Kilmeade to discuss the ongoing investigation of the abduction of Nancy, 84, who’s been missing since February 1. While speaking to host Bryan, the 78-year-old criminal defense attorney addressed Savannah’s latest video message to kidnappers that was shared on Instagram on Sunday, February 15.
“Well the person you see today is the same person I gotten to know, this is someone who is kind who is generous who is real,” Rikki said on the Fox News talk show.
Referring to Savannah’s Sunay video, she added, “What we saw tonight, if it can get any worse, in terms of our hearts just being torn apart, it just gets worse when you watch Savannah and see the pain that she and her family are going through.”
Rikki continued, “All she wants is to get her mother back, and it’s clear she wants to get her mother back whether she’s still alive…or even she has passed. They would like to have their mother back.”
This weekend, more progress was made in Nancy’s disappearance case, with a black glove being recovered from Nancy’s isolated Tucson neighborhood in Arizona on Sunday. However, there is one item that’s speculated to help make a major dent in the case.
“The best piece of information, and the best lead they have right now, is that backpack in that video that they’ve released,” retired FBI agent Jason Pack revealed to celebrity.land.
FBI obtained doorbell footage that captured the outside of Nancy’s hme caught a suspected abductor who was seen wearing a black, 32-liter Ozark Trail backpack. This led authorities to investigate retailers in the Arizona area that were selling the same brand of backpacks, according to celebrity.land.
“They’re seeing who’s purchased these over the past few months, and I guarantee you, they’re knocking at people’s doors that involved these backpacks and just trying to run down each of those sales,” Jason shared.
Along with the backpack, the masked individual could also be seen wearing black gloves, a ski mask, and a holster. After Nancy vanished, Savannah repeatedly began making pleas on social media for the safe return of her mother, alongside her siblings, Annie and Camron.
