Russell Crowe is revisiting one of his most divisive epics — and he’s not holding back. The Oscar winner recently took to social media to talk about the director’s cut of Robin Hood, his 2010 collaboration with Ridley Scott — and according to Crowe, the version that hit theaters wasn’t the film they thought they were delivering. His message was blunt:
“The directors cut is the movie we all thought we were releasing. However, 17 minutes were cut for the cinema release. A minute is a long time on screen. Imagine any of your favourite movies with 17 minutes of the most emotional connective tissue removed… watch the directors cut.”
