Princess Catherine was left in “floods of tears” this weekend, her husband Prince William has revealed. The Princess of Wales reportedly felt emotional on Saturday evening after watching Hamnet.
This was a revelation made by Prince William as the royals spoke with stars at the Baftas at the Royal Festival Hall in London yesterday. Speaking to the chief executive of BT Group, Allison Kirkby, about Hamnet, William said that while he hadn’t seen it, it had left Catherine “in floods of tears” after watching the film.
Catherine also spoke about the film, calling it “very powerful”.
When talking about watching the film the night before the ceremony, Catherine said: “I thought it was a bad idea, actually. Ended up with very puffy eyes.
“It was so beautifully shot. The music as well. The score is fantastic.”
While the film may have made Catherine emotional over the weekend, the couple were nothing but smiles at the ceremony on Sunday.
