Roma Tre Orchestra

Officially founded in 2005, the Roma Tre Orchestra is the first university orchestra to be established within a Roman university. Composed mainly of young professional musicians, it is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Lazio Region. The orchestra’s repertoire encompasses the great classics of symphonic and chamber music, from Beethoven to Debussy, as well as works by contemporary composers and world premieres.

The Roma Tre Orchestra is also involved in countless projects, including the Young Artists Piano Solo Series, which promotes young pianists through a series of recitals and competitions with prizes and opportunities to perform in important venues. The Palladium Theater is the main venue for the orchestra’s programming and hosts most of the season’s events.

Candlelight evenings in Rome

Candlelight concerts bring classical music to iconic locations in Rome illuminated by thousands of candles, creating a truly magical atmosphere. In 2026, the program includes tributes to Vivaldi, Einaudi, and Ennio Morricone’s famous soundtracks, with concerts in evocative venues such as the Salone Bernini in Palazzo Ripetta and other historic residences. The candles, historic walls, and the notes of violins or pianos resonating in the halls make each event a unique multi-sensory experience, ideal for those who want to enjoy live music in an original and evocative way.

Tickets and further information

Aperitif on the Borromini Terrace of Palazzo Pamphili

The “Opera & Aperitif” on the charming Borromini Terrace of Palazzo Pamphilj is a unique experience that combines opera music with a typical Italian aperitif. During the concert, a soprano and a tenor accompanied by piano perform famous arias and duets by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, and Rossini, while the audience enjoys a refined aperitif with prosecco, selected wines, cheeses, and cold cuts. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city, with the skyline stretching from Piazza Navona to the Pantheon.

The event concludes with a guided tour of the historic terrace “La Grande Bellezza,” made famous by the film of the same name. This experience is held throughout the year, but mainly during the summer season, with several dates already scheduled for 2026. However, thanks to the covered and heated structure of the terrace, the event is also available in the colder months, thus ensuring an exclusive music and tasting experience all year round.
