Irish rap trio Kneecap have released “Smugglers & Scholars,” the latest track from their upcoming album Fenian. Listen to it below.
Infused with the blood of a steel-heavy pulse, “Smugglers & Scholars” is a menacing, booming track centered around Irish anarchy. It’s an electric listen — one that’s as prickly as it is inspiring, if chaos is your north star.
Speaking about “Smugglers & Scholars” in a press release, Kneecap explained that it’s “a track that’s reminiscent of Revolutionary times in Ireland, driven by a hopefulness, when the working class, academics, and good people everywhere united and took action in search of a better future.”

Kneecap’s new album, Fenian, is out on April 24th via Heavenly Recordings. The band announced the news on January 28th when they released the first song from the new LP, “Liars Tale.” Pre-order your physical copy here.
