During Thursday’s non-televised Creative Honors event, the NAACP Image Awards presented awards in various TV and film categories.
Sinners, which leads this year’s NAACP Image Awards nominations with 18 nods, racked up four more wins with Ryan Coogler winning best writing and directing for a film and Wunmi Mosaku and Delroy Lindo named best supporting actress and actor, respectively, in a motion picture. Thursday night’s Sinners accolades come after the Warner Bros. film, which scored a record–breaking 16 Oscar nominations, won three awards during Wednesday’s non-televised virtual event.
Abbott Elementary won three awards Thursday, taking home best comedy series and comedy supporting actor (William Stanford Davis) and actress (Janelle James), respectively.
