Sarah Ferguson has “no remorse” after scandals she has found herself in surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, it has been claimed. Over the last few months, the former Duchess of York has made headlines after emails between herself and the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein were made public.
This includes emails of Sarah apologising to Epstein for criticising him, and other emails showing the former duchess calling him a “legend”. These emails were sent not long after Epstein had been convicted of child sex offences.
Since these emails have emerged, Sarah has kept a low profile and seems to show “no remorse” about the situation, according to friends.
One friend told the Daily Mail: “She feels deeply depressed and that the world is out to get her. She is very, very down.
“Some people, including Sarah herself, are worried for her mental health.“[But] what she doesn’t appear to feel is remorse for what has happened. She just wants this to all go away and allow her to get on with her life. Her head is in the sand.”
Another source said that, even after her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office, Sarah’s plan is to “get on with her life”.
