McGuire’s 5K Prediction Run; Whale Fest

MONDAY

Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. March 2. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. TUESDAY

Sun Belt Men’s & Women’s Basketball Conference Championships

March 3 through 9. Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory St. Division I basketball has landed in Pensacola. The men’s and women’s Sun Belt Basketball Championship Tournament will take place at the Bay Center. For one week, watch some of the best athletes in college basketball face off for their chance to win big to make it to the 2026 NCAA Division I Men and Women’s Basketball Tournament. Throughout the week, enjoy high-action games, entertainment from team bands and cheer squads, Fan Fest, a dribble drive, and more. Tickets start at $15. Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue: Shorty Gras Tour

7 p.m. March 3. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Young Life Gulf Breeze Pickleball Tournament

March 5 through 9. Portside Pickle 740 Commendencia St. Young Life Gulf Breeze is partnering with Portside Pickle for its inaugural Pickleball Tournament, which promises fun for the whole family. Small businesses around Pensacola, Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze have contributed to the silent auction to include Intracoastal Outfitters, Bluetique and an e-bike from Ride More Bicycles. There will be a raffle and food trucks. For ages 12 and older. Cost: $60 includes swag bag, raffle tickets and chance to win a high-end pickleball paddle. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

7 p.m., doors; 8 p.m., show; March 6. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. Over their years as a band Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has achieved gold and platinum certifications from the RIAA as well as hundreds of millions of collective song streams worldwide. SIX: Teen Edition

7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6 through 15. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St. Get ready to remix history with SIX: Teen Edition, the electrifying pop musical that reclaims the spotlight for the six wives of Henry VIII. In this high-energy, concert-style show, each queen takes the mic to tell her story — her way — through catchy songs, fierce choreography, and a girl-power attitude. SATURDAY

Gulf Coast Whale Festival

9 a.m. March 7. Gulfside Pavilion, 20 Casino Beach Boardwalk, Pensacola Beach. The Gulf Coast Whale Festival is bringing art, science, education and nature to its third annual event. The festival’s educational exhibits and activities tell the story of Gulf whales and local marine life, and a puppet parade led by Birds of a Feather showcases the ecology of the Gulf. Sweet sounds will flow from the Casino Beach Pavilion with live music by Pensacola singer-songwriters, and the performance of Ode to the Rice’s Whale, written by Pensacola performer Bob Teague. McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Prediction 5K Run

9 a.m. March 7. McGuire’s Irish Pub, 600 E. Gregory St. The McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Run is the largest 5k Prediction Run in America. Each runner/walker predicts how long it will take them to complete the 3.1-mile course. The finishers who come closest to the time predicted on their registration form wins. The event goes on rain or shine. Crossing the finish line is just the beginning, come for the run and stay for the party. Pensacola Symphony Orchestra presents Mahler Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection”

7:30 p.m. March 7. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra joins with the UWF Singers and The Choral Society of Pensacola for Mahler’s monumental masterwork. Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 will be performed without intermission. The show features guest artists Martha Guth, soprano, Susan Platts, mezzo soprano, the UWF Singers and the Choral Society of Pensacola. Boozy Bee Spelling Tournament

5 p.m. March 8. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. Have you been personally victimized by a grade school spelling bee that left you questioning whether you really knew English? Well, Flora-Bama has the event for you. Participants should be prepared to mix alcohol consumption with vocabulary competition. For each word, a contestant may ask for the definition and its use in a sentence. Hosts will try to on-the-spot create a topical and comedic use of the word. For ages 21 and older.
