More murder, treachery, and British accents are heading to Peacock.

With just two months to go before Alan Cumming and his band of Traitors return for another season, Peacock is getting ready to offer American viewers an amuse-bouche of treachery: The Celebrity Traitors UK. The BBC’s latest twist on the hit global format will make its Peacock debut next Thursday, November 20, Vulture has learned, with all nine episodes dropping at once. Celebrity Traitors will arrive in America exactly two weeks after its season-one finale attracted over 11 million viewers for the Beeb, scoring the biggest same-day audience for any TV broadcast in the U.K. this year.
As the name implies, Celebrity Traitors features a cast of actors (Stephen Fry, Nick Mohammed, Celia Imrie), singers (Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church), and TV personalities (Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr) playing the game of deception rather than the real people at the core of the BBC’s original show. And unlike other versions, including Peacock’s, the cash prize at the end of Celebrity Traitors gets donated to charities selected by the winning player or players. But at its core, the celeb edition remains a battle of Faithfuls and Traitors and, like the original, is hosted by U.K. TV icon Claudia Winkleman.
Brit audiences clearly loved this Traitors spinoff: In addition to the massive finale ratings, each of the show’s twice-weekly episodes scored over 10 million viewers (between the live linear telecast and streaming on BBC’s iPlayer), with overall ratings for the season expected to show an average weekly audience in excess of 15 million viewers (including streaming), giving the British broadcaster one of the biggest scripted or unscripted hits in years. And like Dancing With the Stars here, the U.K. show has done particularly well with Gen-Z audiences, who’ve actually tuned in to watch it live.
The arrival of Celebrity Traitors kicks off what should be a busy couple of months for fans of the franchise. Peacock has already announced that season four of its version of the show will land January 8, while the BBC has said a regular version of the franchise will debut in “early 2026.” While there’s been no official premiere date yet for the next normie Traitors UK, it’s quite possible it will also run in January, which is when it has aired on the BBC in past years. If so, it’s expected Peacock will hold true to form and drop Traitors UK for American audiences not long after U.S. Traitors wraps up its season on February 26. And if all that isn’t enough to satisfy your taste for Traitors, don’t forget that NBC has ordered its own real-people version of the show for 2026 as well. Looks like Alan and Claudia are both going to be spending a lot of time in Scotland.
