‘Little House On The Prairie’ Renewed For Season 2 At Netflix Ahead Of Debut

Netflix is clearly high on its reboot of Little House on the Prairie as the streamer has renewed the drama for a second season ahead of its debut.

The series, based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s book, will launch on July 9.

The family drama, which tells the origin story of the American West, stars Alice Halsey as the strong-willed Laura Ingalls, Skywalker Hughes as Laura’s older sister Mary, Luke Bracey as Pa, and Crosby Fitzgerald as Ma.

Little House on the Prairie premiered on NBC in 1974 and ran for nine seasons.

The series is produced by CBS Studios and Anonymous Content. Rebecca Sonnenshine serves as showrunner and exec produces alongside Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition, Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions, Dana Fox, and Susanna Fogel.
