TV presenter Kaye Adams has broken her silence on the “brutal” last few months leading up to her exit from her BBC Radio Scotland show.
The Loose Women panellist, 63, was taken off air in October after allegations were made about her behaviour. While Kaye denied any wrongdoing, she was removed from the schedule while an investigation was carried out.
On Saturday, the BBC confirmed she would not be returning to Mornings with Kaye Adams, and that the current presenting line-up would remain in place.
A BBC Scotland spokesperson said: “With regard to the presentation line-up on Mornings With, Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role. In the immediate future Connie McLaughlin will continue to present Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays.”
The BBC also said it does not comment on any internal processes involving individuals.

Speaking on her How to Be 60 podcast with co-host Karen Mackenzie, Kaye reflected on the past five months, describing them as “difficult”, “brutal” and “hard”.
“I’m torn in that I don’t want anyone to think… I mean, who cares about my life anyway? It’s not that I’m expecting people to, but obviously some people will be aware of what’s been going on in terms of me leaving the radio and stuff.”
She continued: “I’m torn between not wanting to appear to ignore things, but also I just don’t see a lot of point in saying much at this time, and this is a time to process things, try and get life back on track, try and get my mental health back on track, try and get my eating back on track, my sleeping back on track, and just my life back on track….
Kaye continued that her focus would remain on her partner Ian and their kids. “I’m gonna just stick to that at the moment and just, you know, gather myself. I think that’s the best thing to do.”
The presenter went on to pay tribute to her daughters, Charly and Bonnie, who she said are “so supportive”, despite her not being able to be as “present” as she would like.
“You’re the Mum, you’re the adult, it’s your job to look after them. I as you know do everything I can to look after them, but I am just so proud of… I’m so thankful to them. Yeah, they’re good girls, they’re good girls.”

When it was first revealed that Kaye would be taken off air in October, her publicist released a statement on her behalf.
“After three of the most distressing weeks of my professional life and seeing my previously untarnished name publicly dragged through the mud, BBC Scotland has still not provided me with any details of the allegations which have been made against me,” it read.
“I have been inundated with messages of support from people who I have dealt with both personally and professionally over the decades and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.”
