It’s no secret that celebrities are just like us. No matter their level of fame or the accolades attached to their name, once you start peeling back the curtain, it’s abundantly clear they enjoy many of the same creature comforts we do.
Take food, for example. There’s no better way to spot the parallels between a celebrity’s life and our own than through what they choose to eat. And when it comes to fast food, you might be surprised by some of the familiar haunts your favorite stars simply can’t live without.

In honor of skipping healthy eats for something deliciously greasy, we’ve compiled a list of every fast-food restaurant celebrities simply can’t resist. To make browsing easier, we’ve organized the results by restaurant and exactly how many celebs have shouted out each place. Follow along to see which joint comes out on top and how your own mealtime habits stack up.
Applebee’s
Nate Bargatze’s clean, clever comedy stylings feel like a natural match for a chain like Applebee’s. And while the beloved casual-dining chain is not technically considered fast food, it has borrowed a few strategies from the fast-food playbook over the years, including drive-thru windows, online ordering and a variety of value meals.
Bargatze’s connection to the chain is personal, too. Before comedy, he and his wife both worked at Applebee’s, he as a host, she as a server. He jokes that when he told her he wanted to be promoted to server, she hit him with, “You keep dreamin’, alright?” not exactly confident he was “smart enough” for the job.
Burger King
On an episode of his podcast with brother Jason, Travis Kelce comes right out and says it: “I think Burger King has the best fast-food burgers.” His order? A Whopper, no mayonnaise, no onions. “Don’t get me fired up!” he adds while ranking his top three fast-food chains, with the famous BK Lounge taking the top spot.
Chipotle
Never one to pretend to be above fast food, Lili Reinhart once said in an interview that her diet is “pretty terrible,” adding that food makes her happy and she’s not interested in limiting herself. For dinner, her go-to is Chipotle, and she’s even shouted it out on social media. In the same vein, she holds Domino’s close to her heart as well, praising both chains online on more than one occasion.
Dunkin’
Brand ambassador and star of some of their most hilarious commercials, Ben Affleck and Dunkin’ are a match made in coffee heaven. In 2024, he even got his own drink on the menu: the DunKings Iced Coffee, a classic iced coffee with vanilla notes, cream, Sweet Cold Foam and a dusting of cinnamon sugar.
Fatburger
Founded in 1952 in Los Angeles by Lovie Yancey and known for its motto, “The Last Great Hamburger Stand,” Fatburger has long been a staple of the LA food scene. Part of its fame comes from a legendary shoutout by Ice Cube in his hit song “It Was a Good Day.” He later told Seth Rogen in a First We Feast video, “Fatburger is the best burger in California.”
Five Guys
A true man of the people, Barack Obama has famously ordered Five Guys for his hard-working staff. The 44th POTUS is a well-known cheeseburger lover, and his favorite fast-food meal is a burger and fries from Five Guys.

Jack in the Box
The more we learn about Selena Gomez, the more we realize she’s just like the rest of us. Her go-to fast-food order? On Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube series Scrambled in 2024, she revealed that it included “two tacos, two egg rolls, curly fries and a chicken sandwich” from Jack in the Box. She’s also known to have a soft spot for Chili’s queso and chips.
Krispy Kreme
Shaquille O’ Neal has mastered the art of pivoting a basketball career into sports media, brand collaborations and franchise ownership. And while he has his hands in everything from sports business to entertainment, he’s also dabbled in franchises like 24 Hour Fitness, Five Guys and Papa John’s. His favorite? Without hesitation, Shaq singled out one brand above the rest: “My favorite one right now is Krispy Kreme.” And when asked why, his answer is simple: “‘Cause I like doughnuts.”
Shake Shack
No stranger to a good fast food indulgence, Chrissy Teigen actually has a list of chains she’s fond of, including the likes of Taco Bell, McDonald’s and In-N-Out. As for her go-to fast food burger, Teigen lands firmly on a controversial take: “I’m gonna go ahead and say Shake Shack over In-N-Out.”
Sonic Drive-In
In preparation for the return of her morning talk show’s new season in 2023, Barrymore took to Instagram to share bits and pieces from her work life with fans. And while on a quick lunchtime run to Sonic Drive-In, the Charlie’s Angels star revealed just how far her love for the popular fast food drive-in goes.
“I love you very much,” Barrymore captioned her post while revealing the two items she orders most at Sonic Drive-In: tater tots and a strawberry milkshake. As Barrymore and her entourage pull up to order, the actress confirms with her friends that everyone is, in fact, ordering tater tots, endearingly referring to them as “tots,” while proceeding to order five servings.
In-N-Out
Complete with an elite Oscars post-show ritual where stars gather at a local In-N-Out, this West Coast fast-food favorite easily ranks as one of the most beloved restaurants for both celebrities and non-celebs alike. From Katy Perry to Kylie Jenner and every movie star, singer-songwriter and politician in between, it’s easy to see why so many choose the fresh, made-to-order offerings of one of California’s most iconic fast food chains.
Taco Bell
Beloved by the likes of Anna Kendrick, Chrissy Teigen, Katy Perry and Jason Sudeikis, Taco Bell holds a special place not just in our hearts, but in our favorite celebs’ as well. Sudeikis once told reporters, “I genuinely love Taco Bell. I believe there are levels of Taco Bell. I love suburban Taco Bells … my hometown in Overland Park, Kansas … there’s a Taco Bell there that’s fantastic.”
Anna Kendrick calls it a “dirty secret” that she cannot eat before midnight. “It’s like a reverse Gremlins thing,” she once told Conan O’Brien. “It has to be under cover of darkness, like, in my car.”
McDonald’s
Not a huge surprise in the big picture of beloved fast food chains, McDonald’s easily takes the cake as the most-named fast food restaurant that celebs can’t resist. With everyone from Adele, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian, Michael Jordan and Chrissy Teigen calling it their go-to fast food joints, there are plenty of parallels between famous celebs and your favorite McDonald’s order.
Adele enjoys an order of McNuggets, a Big Mac and fries, even telling reporters that she indulges at least once a week. And Vera Wang famously admitted in an interview that she orders McDonald’s “every day,” saying she’ll spend “like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”
