A 35-year-old woman has been arrested for attempted murder after she allegedly fired shots Sunday at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home, the Los Angeles Police Department told celebrity.land.
The woman, identified as Ivanna Ortiz, was taken into custody Sunday, according to The Los Angeles Times. The LAPD said a weapon was recovered from the scene, but didn’t tell celebrity.land how many rounds Ortiz shot or what kind of weapon was used. The woman used an AR-15-style gun, and Rihanna was home at the time of the shooting, but no injuries have been reported, the Times stated.
The LAPD told celebrity.land that the incident is still under investigation.
According to a police radio dispatch reviewed by the Times, 10 shots had been fired from a car across the street from Rihanna’s home. At least four of the rounds hit the home, according to NBC4. Police found bullet holes in the gate at the “Diamonds” singer’s home, the Times reported.
The car fled the neighborhood, according to the dispatch, and Ortiz was arrested 30 minutes after the 911 call was made.
“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” an LAPD spokesperson told the Times.
Rihanna reportedly shares the home with her partner A$AP Rocky. The couple has two sons and one daughter.
