Margot Robbie has chopped off her long locks.
The Wuthering Heights star, who has long sported blonde waves that cascade over her shoulders, attended Paris Fashion Week on Monday with a chic new bob and a choppy fringe.
She flaunted her new shoulder-length hairdo while sitting front row at the Chanel fall/winter 2026 show, opting for a laidback sheer white top and straight-cut jeans ensemble for the glitzy event.
The 35-year-old – who has been a brand ambassador for Chanel since 2018 – could be seen carrying a Chanel-branded bag and a blue shawl as she debuted the new look.
Talking to Vogue Australia regarding her major beauty transformation, the hairstylist who cut Robbie’s hair said the long bob – or ‘lob’ – was on trend for the warmer seasons.
“The bob and fringe is a modern look for spring,” Cervando Maldonado told the publication.
“It leads the way into summer with an effortless style. The length is versatile and easy to pull back and create different styles if needed.”
Prior to making the chop, Robbie wore her blonde locks in waves down to her waist, similarly to that of her character Cathy in Wuthering Heights, which hit screens last month.
The film, which she appeared in alongside fellow Aussie star Jacob Elordi, has achieved much acclaim, making over $150million worldwide and cementing itself as one of the biggest cinematic releases this year.
Robbie and Elordi made headlines during their press run for the Emerald Fennel-directed movie, seemingly mirroring the gothic novel’s themes of obsession, longing and emotional dependency.
The former Neighbours star herself leaned heavily into her close attachment to her on-screen love interest, revealing in a Fandango interview that she felt unsettled when Elordi wasn’t on set.
“I found myself starting to look around to see where he was. I was really unnerved and unmoored. And I felt quite lost, like a kid without their blanket or something,” she said.
Furthermore, Elordi described the pair’s dynamic as a “mutual obsession,” adding fuel to the speculation.
The 28-year-old claimed he would stand just a few metres away from Robbie whenever she was filming a scene.
Many fans were quick to point out the duo’s PR trope of “real-life mimicking onscreen fiction”.
“This is so scripted and intentional. the use of the word ‘unmoored’”, one person wrote.
Another chimed in: “The ‘we actually sort of fell in love’ thing is in so many movies the past few years. What is up with that?”
“Oh, it’s going to be that kind of promotion cycle. I don’t think we should have expected anything less,” a third added.
