These are high times for the world’s first double-music-billionaire household. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s combined fortunes are now $3.8bn according to Forbes’ update of its ‘Celebrity Billionaires’ rankings.
It marks Beyoncé’s debut in the list after Forbes declared her to have become a billionaire in January this year – the sixth musician to have crossed “the three-comma threshold”.
Jay-Z’s fortune is estimated at $2.8bn, having nearly tripled since he entered the billionaire ranks in 2019. He ranks sixth in the Forbes list, making him the top musician.
Taylor Swift is catching up with him, however. She places seventh in this year’s rankings with an estimated $2bn fortune that has doubled since 2023.
Forbes breaks this down as $1bn in “wealth amassed from royalties and touring” plus $100m of real estate and a catalogue valued at $900m.
Bruce Springsteen ($1.2bn), Rihanna ($1bn) and Dr Dre ($1bn) are the other musicians to make the list of 22 celebrity billionaires, which is topped by Steven Spielberg with his net wealth of $7.1bn.
