The 2026 Oscars are set to air on Sunday, March 15, 2026, and everyone will be tuning in to discover which actors and movies receive the highest honors of the awards season. With every star-studded ceremony comes a red carpet … and the need for emcees to find out what our favorite celebrities are wearing, who they brought with them, and what they are most excited about for the show.
This year, the Academy (a.k.a. the organization that hosts the Oscars) tapped Tamron Hall, star of The Tamron Hall Show, and Bachelor Nation host Jesse Palmer to help with the ceremony. They are set to host the official red carpet pre-show, airing at 6:30 p.m. ET on ABC and Hulu. The announcement was made just days before the event in an official Instagram post.
“Join Tamron Hall and Jesse Palmer for ‘The Oscars Red Carpet Show,’ the official lead-in to the 98th Oscars, airing at 6:30e/3:30p on ABC and Hulu,” the caption read on March 9.
Shortly after the news circulated, Tamron and Jesse both chimed in with their excitement.
“❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Tamron replied in the comments. “Gonna be fun!!! 🔥🔥🔥,” Jesse added.
Tamron has a legion of followers thanks to all the years she’s spent on TV, and they showed their support for the host yet again.
“Yaaaaas Tamron!!!! Queen!!!” one person shouted in the comments.
“This makes me happy. Definitely tuning in for Tamron‼️👏🏾👑,” another penned.
“👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 I know that’s right! 🔥🔥🔥,” a different follower added.
We won’t know much about Tamron’s role in the pre-show until the Oscars red carpet celebration officially airs, but as The Wrap pointed out, this isn’t the first time Tamron has taken on the role.
She previously covered the Oscars red carpet back in 2020. Viewers will get to watch Tamron and Jesse give their thoughts on the night’s nominees, presenters, and musicians while also interviewing those arriving for the ceremony throughout the evening.
